The Greatest Costume Ever

Ok people, Halloween is one week from tomorrow. And in honor of said event I would like to give credit to the best costumes that I have seen over the years.
None of which are ones that I have worn because I am horrible at Halloween costumes- not sure why, it just always happens- like my geisha incident of 2005...anyway-

One of my favorites was Clark being Mugatu from Zoolander. I can't help it, it was hilarious. A washed up superhero was another-

So my question to you is... what is your favorite costume? Or, has a costume backfired on you?

I have found the costume is only as good as the personality of the wearer. You've got to be able to pull it off. Fortunately for me, my kids take after me and tend to be obnoxious and outgoing.

The best costumes we've had have been homemade, and can work for adults or kids. One was a lunch lady. Sweats, full apron, hair net. She carried around a plastic cafeteria tray and slotted spoon asking in her old lady voice "What would you like for lunch?" and plopping some imaginary "mystery meat" on the tray.

The other was a table. Literally. Take foam board and cover with a tablecloth. Cut a hole in the center for your head. Hot glue (or duct tape) plastic plates, cups, and silverware to the table top. Add a centerpiece wreath around the hole where your head goes. Walk around asking people to join you for dinner.

Yes!! I think Clark as Mugatu was one of my favorites as well! That Zoolander year was the best. -Jess
