A friend of mine at work is a farmer- a real one, like he has cows and stuff... and he was telling me about how he got home from work the other night (actually Monday night, the one with the horrible storm) and 60 of his cows were wondering around his neighbors land. Apparently they bum-rushed the electric fence... Anyways-
It was about to storm and the poor guy was frantically trying to get the stupid cows back in the fenced part all by himself. I'm not sure if you have ever tried to get a cow to go somewhere specifically before, but it's really frustrating- and 60.. well, forget about it...
Here's the good part- This guy was at the end of his rope- so he stops what he's doing and says, "God, you gotta help me out, because I can't do this." And like five seconds later a friend of his family, who was a veterinarian, just happens to stop by just to see how things were going at the farm. Together they were able to get the cows back where they were supposed to be. He even said that right as they got the last cow in- the rain started.
I love that. I love to hear the little cool things that God does for us, and I wish I spent more time hearing peoples stories. How about you? Do you have any stories about cool stuff that God has done- it can be small or big!

I think the thing i love most about this story is the fact that your friend was not alone. I love the fact that God does not want us to go through life alone. I love the fact that God blesses us w/friends. There are lots of ways that God can help us, but so many times He uses other people. Sometimes we try to do life alone - but stories like these remind me that life is richer and the adventure more appetizing when you have a friend to share it with.
Three weeks ago we received word that my step-son who is in college in Washington, D.C. was hit in the eye, had his eye socket fractured and was going to have to have eye surgery. My husband has cancer and doesn't have a lot of strength - certainly not what you would think to make that kind of a trip. He insisted on going to be with him.
My mom (mother-in-laws) wrote him a very supportive email that said she understood his concern but perhaps it would be best if he stayed in Lexington, our step-son is 22 and strong, this would be a big trip.
My husband said he was GOING. We packed. As we pulled out of the drive way I called my mom to tell her. Through her tears she said I will pray. Do you want me to call and put it on the prayer chain? (She attends a church in Indiana) We said sure.
We made the trip. My husband felt better than he's felt in weeks for most days and most parts of the trip. He did 2 8+ hour days at Washington Hospital Center. He did have a few rough spots in the trip, I'd pray and God always provided the strength to get us all through.
It was the last hour of the trip he began to really have a tough time. I took him to the hospital the next morning where he was admitted with pneumonia.
God truly provided him the strength to make it through the week my husband wanted and I believe needed to be there with his son. They had an incredible bonding experience that will be something neither will ever forget. Both needed each other.
My step-son's surgery was successful and his vision is nearly back to 100% normal.
I KNOW it was God and God alone who gave my husband the ability to make a trip he otherwise could have NEVER made.
I thought that VERY COOL.
Hey sis! I really love to hear about life changing stories too. I know I miss so many opportunities to experience Christ's miracles that are talked about so much in the book of Acts.
Here's one I didn't miss! Jess and I were looking for a car, because we needed a second one, but didn't have a lot of money. So, we looked and looked and as we were looking, I received this email from someone wanting to get rid of their car. So, I jumped on it, made sure it was ok for me to pursue. Well, it turns out it's a really nice car (which I was not expecting) and after I offered to buy it, they said that they didn't want anything. They just wanted to help someone out that was in need. The cool thing is, it turns out the prior owner was an elder black Christian woman who had passed away recently. Talk about a neat moment driving that baby home the first time. I wonder how many gospel spiritual songs she sang at the top of her lungs while driving that car? Neat to think about isn't it? And she took care of that car too. What a miracle! Love you sis!
Cool stories! Thank you so much for sharing anonymouses and Tim!
